Really great optical illusions...
Hidden Numbers

A quickie! Look how by adding the number 8 to the number 4, you can
get any number from zero to nine. Kinda neat, but not our most amazin
illusion. For that, you'll have to scour the navigation bar on the left,
until you find the perfect optical illusion!

Arrows
by Serhiy Grabarchuk
Can you find in the illustration on the left two pairs of arrows,
the respective tips of which point two exactly identical
horizontal distances between
these tips?
A
tip of each arrow is meant as one shown in the diagram on the right.

Optical Illusion Chalk Drawing - The Sidwalk Trap

This is one of my favorite items here. Wow. Send this one to your
friends!
How would you like to be walking down the sidewalk and then suddenly
fall into a hole like these guys? Take a little closer look at who has
fallen into the hole. It's tough to tell but it looks like George W.
Bush and Cheney have fallen into the hole.... and is that Tony Blair
looking into the camera? Regardless, this sidewalk optical illusion
is just downright incredible!

Test Your Blind Spot
Alright, right now you can see both an x and circle.
Close or cover up one your left eye. Now SLOWLY move your head closer to
the screen and stay focused on only the X. As you get about six inches
from the computer screen, you'll see that the circle has actually
disappeared. You just found your blind spot!
You'll find that different people have their blind spots
in different areas, so have your friends try this eye trick and see how
far away from their screen they were when the circle disappeared.
Weird Impossible Shape Illusion

Here is yet another impossible shape. As always, you'll
notice that the shading ads to the effect of this optical illusion.
Here's a quick memory test: Take 30 seconds to look at this optical
illusion, then look away from the screen and try to draw this optical
illusion on paper. It's pretty tough unless you have a photographic
memory!

The Cafe Wall Illusion - a Photo
Look at the optical illusion that is presented on the wall of this
cafe. You'll find a similar optical illusion in our optical illusion
desktop wallpaper section. It's only a matter of time before Trading
Spaces uses this idea to create a room full of optical illusions.

Circle or Spiral Optical Illusion 2
This is another great example of concentric circles that look like a
spiral. Just like the previous image, you'll see that the coloring of
the circles really leads your eye right to the center of this optical
illusion. You can use your finger to trace the lines of each circle,
just don't get your fingerprints all over your computer monitor! The red
and black diamonds further add to the illusion, and even give the
illusion some depth, because they are drawn in perspective, with the
center as the vanishing point. This type of perspective is called
one-point perspective and involves two sides of each object pointing to
the same spot on the page. This is one of my favorite optical illusions!

Clinton Gore

Glance at this picture really quick and you may have thought that it
was Al Gore standing behind Clinton, but actually it's clinton's face
with Gore's haircut. Just a little eye trick for you before we move on
to another cool optical illusion.
